Andover School of Montessori is seeking an experienced part-time Learning Specialist in a Montessori setting for the 2024-2025 school year. Qualifications for this position include a Master's Degree in reading, special education, or a related field, as well as previous experience working with students who have diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate has expertise in supporting children with language-based learning disabilities and executive functioning challenges. The Learning Specialist provides instructional support by offering organizational and time management strategies, teaching effective study skills, and implementing push-in support in the classroom. The Learning Specialist collaborates closely with teachers, the Head of School, and the Director of Elementary and Middle School to develop and implement strategies and individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student. The small class sizes and collaborative faculty provide a wonderful opportunity to engage and strengthen students’ learning.
