The Ohana Infant Guide will foster a supportive and collaborative educational atmosphere where Montessori and RIE support an environment where the children are the curriculum.

What You'll Do:

  • Contributes to a teaching culture of collaboration among the classroom teachers that nurtures mutual respect and builds a strong and cohesive classroom team.
  • Provides primary care-giving to 1-3 infants while working with two other guides.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of school and corporate leadership, parents, and teachers.
  • Regularly observes and records developmental milestones and progress.
  • Demonstrates leadership amongst the teaching team in acquiring and maintaining accreditations and ensuring Ohana represent the best in class standards.
  • Fosters a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment where staff feel valued, heard, and motivated.
  • Follows and teaches others Montessori and/or RIE Pedagogy.
  • Understands the importance of a prepared environment and ends the day by readying the room for the next morning.
  • Ensures Ohana's Principles are delivered to the highest standard. Mentors and coaches other teachers to deliver Ohana principles. 
  • Complies with Bandwidth's Code of Conduct, protects the company's reputation, and prevents legal and regulatory violations. Ensures direct reports understand and comply with these responsibilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a Child Development Center infant environment.
  • Must be able to lift, move, or hold children with weight up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to observe children from various distances.
  • Must be able to lift children from various heights.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must have the ability to navigate uneven outdoor terrain for limited periods of time in various mild to moderate weather conditions.

What You Need:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree and MACTE accredited Montessori certification or RIE training preferred.
  • Experience:  
    • 5+ years working in an infant environment.
    • Primary caregiving techniques.
    • Skilled in observation techniques and documentation.
    • Communication skills (oral and written).
