Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Upper Elementary Montessori Teacher (Grades 4–6) to join our vibrant community beginning August 2026. The ideal candidate will be a certified Montessori educator, with preferably 6-12 training, who embodies our mission and thrives in a collaborative, creative, and student-centered environment.
Responsibilities

Guide students (ages 9–12) through the Montessori upper elementary curriculum, promoting independence, curiosity, and academic excellence but be open to working with 6-9 aged students as we are just growing our Elementary program beyond Lower Elementary and will have a combined 6-12 program for the first year.

Prepare and maintain a dynamic classroom environment that supports inquiry, collaboration, and self-direction.

Observe and record student progress, creating individualized learning plans and providing thoughtful feedback.

Partner with families to build strong home-school connections through regular communication, conferences, and progress reports.

Collaborate with a co-lead teacher and colleagues across levels to ensure curricular continuity and a cohesive school culture.

Model and foster the Montessori values of grace, courtesy, and respect for all members of the community.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

AMS or AMI certification for Upper Elementary (9–12) but 6-12 training preferred.

Minimum of two years of Montessori teaching experience preferred.

Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and a deep respect for the child.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
