Kids World Montessori

Kids World Montessori is a bilingual English–Spanish program where children ages 15 months to 6 years cultivate a lifelong love of learning in a warm, nurturing, and prepared Montessori environment.

We are currently interviewing for the upcoming school year and are seeking a passionate Primary Lead Teacher who is excited to stay and grow with our school long-term.

Position: Primary Lead Teacher (Ages 2.5–6)

Term: 11 months, beginning July 2025
Salary: $50,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience
Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years classroom experience

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience

• Montessori experience strongly preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

• Commitment to professional growth and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized Montessori environment that meets the developmental needs of all students

• Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with parents regarding each child’s growth and development

• Deliver an individualized educational program aligned with Montessori philosophy

• For Kindergarten, provide effective and innovative instruction integrating Montessori materials with Virginia State Standards

• Oversee classroom learning while collaborating closely with the Assistant Teacher to support all students

• Demonstrate basic computer literacy and competency

• Plan, develop, record, and implement curriculum; create materials as needed; maintain classroom materials and orderly shelves

• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly lesson plans, including observations and curriculum documentation

• Continue learning each child’s interests and learning styles to support development across emotional, social, ethical, aesthetic, creative, wellness, intellectual, and school-readiness domains

• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the Primary team and school leadership
