Marquette Montessori Academy is a growing, public, magnet program in South Bend, IN. We are a member school of both the American Montessori Society and the United Montessori Schools of Indiana. We are in the process of working towards AMS accreditation through the Pathways Program. As a Title One school-wide building, we serve approximately 550 students, ages 3-12 from racially and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. The building administrator holds AMS/MACTE Early Childhood and Elementary I-II credentials and works to push the building forward towards accreditation. The administrator sees it as an achievable goal to be AMS Accredited in five years if we can secure MACTE credentialed teachers in the newly forming classrooms.
We are seeking 1 Lower Elementary teacher for the 2019-2020 school year to start in August of 2019. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a Elementary I Montessori credential from a MACTE accredited training program.
