Seeking a Montessori certified infant/toddler teacher to lead an infant-toddler classroom. AMS or AMI training, experience preferred but all considered. This is a new classroom within our current program that will have a group size of 9 children, three of which could be infants and remaining will be young toddlers. We currently have an infant teacher that will be solely responsible for the infants, however candidate will be responsible for leading the whole class in Montessori best practice as well as leading the toddlers. Duties will include assisting Head of School in purchasing additional toddler materials, communicating philosophy and daily schedule to prospective parents, training classroom assistants and leading ongoing parent curriculum education in infant/toddler during school year. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for Montessori education, excellent verbal and written communication skills, easy going nature with a good sense of humor, use positive discipline techniques and be an enthusiastic lifelong learner. Candidate must be eligible to obtain Lead Teacher infant/toddler certificate from Ma. State Early Education and Care (EEC) and be responsible to follow specific state requirements to maintain schools license.

We are located in an antique textile mill an hour from Boston and close to New Hampshire. The school was architecturally designed to be a Montessori school with 17,000 square feet of classrooms, kitchen, art room, library and multipurpose room.
This is a year round position with 4 paid weeks off with additional time negotiable.
