Associate or Assistant Professor of Montessori Education
Position: Tenure-track, nine-month associate or assistant professor position beginning January 2020. Rank based on qualifications.
Qualifications: Earned Masters in early childhood education, teaching and learning, or related education field. Candidates should have experience at the university level as well as at least 3 years Montessori classroom experience (grades Pre-K – 12) and demonstrate potential for scholarly productivity. Must hold Montessori credentials in Early Childhood, EI, EII, or EI-II. Multiple Montessori credentials and earned doctorate in education preferred. University teaching/supervision helpful.
Responsibilities: Coordinate Montessori education program, teach undergraduate/graduate Montessori education courses, mentor candidates in field –based settings, advise students, engage in scholarly activities, and provide service to the University and Greenwood communities.
