The ideal candidate for this position is one who is AMI or AMS certified by an accredited Montessori training program; have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field of study; have a minimum of 2-4 years of teaching experience in a Montessori classroom; successful experience teaching children with learning differences; a working knowledge of computers and email; good verbal and written communication skills; good project management skills; happy, nurturing, and responsible. This person would be responsible for the classroom lessons/presentations, classroom supervision, and management, parent orientation, parent-teacher conferences, training and development of the assistant, parent education, etc.
