Montessori Adolescent Teacher

Position Overview:
Are you passionate about adolescents? AIA is seeking a dedicated Montessori Adolescent Teacher to join our vibrant team full-time starting in January 2025. This role is ideal for an educator with a strong commitment to the Montessori philosophy and a deep enthusiasm for cultivating curiosity and critical thinking in Math and Science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire students to develop a lifelong passion for Math and Science through engaging, hands-on lessons that make abstract concepts tangible and meaningful.
• Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, question, and innovate.
• Design and implement interdisciplinary projects and real-world applications of Math and Science that align with Montessori principles.
• Act as a mentor, fostering students’ academic and emotional development during this critical stage of adolescence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Math and Science into broader curricular themes and experiences.
• Communicate effectively with families about student progress and classroom activities.
• Maintain a prepared environment with high-quality materials that support independence and exploration.

Qualifications:

• Montessori Adolescent Certification (preferred) or a willingness to complete training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for Math and Science and experience teaching these subjects to adolescents.
• A passion for the Montessori philosophy and adolescent education.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues.
