JOB SUMMARY: The candidate offered the position will be expected to work from August 19 to December 20, 2019. We seek reflective, intentional, Montessori 3-6 certified educators who want to contribute to a progressive, integrated Montessori curriculum informed by best practices and principles. As an Interim Associate Teacher, this individual will share responsibility with Lead Teacher, for all aspects of each of our students’ classroom experience and for developing strong partnerships with parents and colleagues. Other important duties include advancing your professional and personal growth and fulfilling administrative duties. All teachers attend regular meetings and share responsibilities with other faculty in the areas of curriculum management, classroom schedules, record keeping, student needs, the classroom environment, and participate in Progress Report writing and Parent Teacher conferences. Early Childhood Teachers report to the Early Childhood Director of Education.

QUALIFICATIONS OF PREFERRED CANDIDATES:

?  BA/BS degree

?  Minimum of 1-2 years teaching experience in an Early Childhood classroom

?  AMS/AMI Montessori teaching credential required

?  Understanding of, commitment to, and experience working with Montessori philosophy

?  Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community

?  Commitment to professional development and best practices in education

?  Understanding of multi-age learning environments

?  Commitment to meeting the needs of each child and family

?  Education experience in a variety of instructional methods

?  Computer Skills
