Marquette Montessori Academy is a growing, public, magnet program in South Bend, IN. We are a member school of both the American Montessori Society and the United Montessori Schools of Indiana. We are in the process of working towards AMS accreditation through the Pathways Program. As a Title One school-wide building, we serve approximately 550 students, ages 3-12 from racially and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. The building administrator holds AMS/MACTE Early Childhood and Elementary I-II credentials and works to push the building forward towards accreditation. The administrator sees it as an achievable goal to be AMS Accredited in five years if we can secure MACTE credentialed teachers in the newly forming classrooms.
We are seeking 2 Upper Elementary Teachers to start in August of 2019 as we expand our Upper Elementary program. The ideal candidate would hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and an Elementary II or Elementary I-II credential from a MACTE accredited training program. Candidates who do not hold an IN teaching licence will need to seek licensure through the new pathway to licensure at the Indiana Department of Education for those that hold a MACTE credential.
SBCSC will provide Montessori training for a candidate who hold currently holds an Indiana teaching license. See the SBCSC Application Portal for full job description and list of qualifications.
