Montessori Pathways School of New England is a growing Montessori program and has been serving the students and families of Rhode Island for 5 years. Our Secondary 1/Middle School program is entering its 4th year. MPSNE serves students grades 1-9 and takes great pride in becoming the first Rhode Island Montessori school to offer a plan for a full secondary program. We are a small school with a rapidly growing community!
We are seeking a Lead Secondary 1/Middle School Teacher for our growing program. The Middle School program at MPSNE will serve approximately 10 students this year and offers a wide variety of experiences to meet the needs of the adolescent learner. Students participate in their own micro-economy, retreats, out of state trips, internships, community service and outreach, etc. Responsibilities include planning, leading, and implementing the Montessori curriculum, supporting parents and students, participating in the culture of the school community, organizing part-time staff, collaborating during Montessori Professional Development opportunities in the area, and travel with students on outings and trips.
Candidates must be willing to enroll in Montessori Teacher Training (within a timeframe which we will discuss in at an interview) or hold a Montessori Teaching Certificate. MPSNE will financially sponsor the right candidate for Montessori training - details will be discussed at a later date. At MPSNE, we encourage our staff to be creative, innovative, and passionate about Montessori education.
Salary based on education and experience.
