Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate AMS-certified Elementary 1 Montessori Teacher to guide students in grades 1–3. The ideal candidate creates a prepared Montessori environment, supports academic and social-emotional growth, and inspires student-centered learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain a Montessori classroom aligned with AMS standards
Teach Language Arts, Math, and Cultural Studies (History, Geography, Science)
Observe, assess, and document student progress using Montessori methods
Support social-emotional development and independence
Communicate regularly with families
Collaborate with staff and participate in school events
Qualifications:
AMS Elementary I Certification required
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field
Montessori classroom experience preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Passion for educating the whole child
