Hillside Montessori of LaGrange is a young and flourishing school located 60 miles South of Atlanta, GA. The school's inaugural class began in August of 2012 and the student body has increased from twelve to seventy in 6.5 years. Currently housing Primary, Elementary, and Adolescent communities within walking distance from LaGrange College, downtown museums, and the public library, the school recently announced plans to break ground for a new, thoughtfully constructed permanent campus within a few months.
Hillside Montessori's charm comes from its curious learners, authentic guides, and involved leadership. We also have engaged parents, many who have supported the school since it's founding as a 501(c)3 in 2011. Thanks to an abundance of local resources, our students' experiences are filled with the arts, outdoor excursions, and dynamic guest speakers/demonstrators. Guides and students work together to create a learning community that is, in the words of one volunteer, "an oasis of love and learning."
We have one position open for the 2019-2020 academic year in the Primary community: a lead guide who holds a Montessori credential and loves to learn and lead young learners. Applicants should be mindful, organized, respectful of all, and devoted to the beautifully and thoughtfully prepared environment. The class is fully enrolled for the upcoming school year.
LaGrange, GA has recently been ranked the #1 Micropolitan are in Georgia and was named by Expedia as one of the "18 cities that Must Be Seen in 2018." With the recent additions of Sweetland Ampitheatre, Great Wold Lodge, and The Thread Trail, along with West Point Lake, the Chattahoochee River and numerous historical and arts sites, this small town's appeal is on the rise.
