Montessori Trained Primary Teacher

MSLF is an authentic Montessori school seeking a Montessori-trained Primary Teacher to lead a classroom of children ages 3-6 years starting in August 2024.

The ideal candidate is AMI or AMS certified and will lead a Primary classroom. Using the Montessori Method, the teacher’s responsibilities include work with each child to meet their developmental social, physical, intellectual, and emotional needs while nurturing each child’s natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect. The ideal candidate will also be reliable, innovative, and possess a patient, positive, and respectful manner toward children in their care.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • AMS or AMI certified at the Primary level (3-6) or currently in a training program
  • Experience working in a Montessori classroom
  • Meet the DCFS or ISBE requirements for a teacher as applicable
  • Good communication skills and strong work ethic
  • Investment in continuous learning and development
  • Ability to collaborate, multi-task, and learn through observation and modeling
  • Passion for Montessori education
