Since 1973, the Concordia School has welcomed children ages 2-12 to a warm, Montessori community in Concord, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are an established, private, AMS-verified Montessori school with staff and families who support and learn from each other. We are seeking an Upper Elementary teacher to join us on our journey, beginning August 5, 2024.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- AMS or AMI Credential; 6-12 preferred. Would consider a 6-9 credential with appropriate experience and commitment to take the 9-12 training.
- Thoughtful, life-long learner with a passion for Montessori education.
- Creative; motivated to encourage curiosity and independence in children.
- Enjoys working with 9-12-year-olds with respect, acceptance, humor and love.
- Strives to communicate clearly with children, parents and co-workers.
Our Upper Elementary classroom has 16-22 students and a full-time, Montessori-trained assistant.
