About Us

CFMS is a nurturing and vibrant Christian preschool dedicated to providing quality early childhood education rooted in love, faith, and Montessori principles. We are excited to announce the expansion of our programs to include a Toddler Program, and we are seeking passionate educators to join us in this new venture. This position offers competitive salary and a $1,000.00 retention bonus after the successful completion of the school year.

Position Overview

We are in search of an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to help us establish and lead our new Toddler Program. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our youngest learners. A strong foundation in Montessori philosophy and methodology is preferred, but not required (we are open to supporting professional development in Montessori education).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement the curriculum and policies for the Toddler Program
  • Create a warm, inviting, and safe classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years
  • Introduce and implement Montessori principles and techniques to foster independence, exploration, and self-discovery
  • Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that support toddlers' cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Build positive relationships with children and families, providing support and guidance as they navigate the early stages of childhood
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, and communicate regularly with parents to ensure transparency and collaboration
  • Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • EEC Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher certification, REQUIRED
  • Infant/Toddler Montessori certification from AMS/AMI accredited training center or at least 3 years of Lead Montessori Teacher experience PREFERRED
  • Clear CORI & MA Fingerprinting
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience working with toddlers, preferably in a Montessori or early childhood education setting
  • Passion for working with young children and a deep understanding of child development principles
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Alignment with our values of kindness and community and belief in the mission of our preschool
