Requirements:

Expectations:

A Toddler Teacher at Villa Di Maria Montessori is expected to…

…arrive punctually each morning the school is in session and at all other events as directed by the Head of School.

…maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with the director at all times.

…act with the best interest of the school in mind.

…dress professionally and speak respectfully to VDM parents, students, and faculty.

…keep non-emergency absences to a minimum especially during the academic year.

…be responsible for the overall maintenance of their classroom by keeping an accurate inventory, investigating and reporting missing or damaged supplies, and supervising cleaning procedures.

…store their non-essential personal belongings such as briefcases, purses, computers, phones, earbuds, etc. in an out of the way cubby during their shift at the school in order that these items might not take away from their work in the classroom.

…spend the toddler naptime assisting with other aspects of the school such as event planning, marketing, or some other useful activity as designated by the director.

…be in charge of securing continuing education hours certificates as required by Texas Childcare Licensing for themselves and assistants in the classroom.

…be a reliable, trustworthy, and loyal member of the faculty by working closely with the administration staff to ensure that the school runs smoothly.

…voluntarily assist the school in various ways which can be determined by individual skills and talents.

…engage in miscellaneous other ways in making the school a more authentic expression of the Montessori method.
