IMMEDIATE OPENING - Naptime and AfterCare Teacher (11:00 - 5:30)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment in alignment with the mission, goals, objectives, and philosophy of Fraser Woods Montessori School.

Responsibilities During Nap Time:

• Facilitate nap time for three-year-old students.
• Help children transition from active play to a calm state through soothing activities, such as reading, playing soft music, or dimming the lights.
• Ensure each child has nap essentials (blankets, comfort items, etc.).

Supervision & Safety:

• Monitor children at all times to ensure their safety while they sleep.
• Maintain a quiet, peaceful environment.
• Ensure children remain on their mats and do not disturb others.
• Respond to any child who wakes up early by providing quiet activities to avoid disturbing sleeping peers.

 Responsibilities in After-Care:

• Assist in facilitating transitions to and from nap time for three-year-old students.
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for students of all ages (Toddler and Pre-K through 8th grade).
• Monitor students to ensure their safety at all times.
• Enforce program rules and expectations.
• Manage transitions between activities and dismissal procedures.
• Respond appropriately to any behavioral or safety concerns.
• Develop and lead age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts and outdoor play.

 Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for early childhood education.

Position Hours:

11:00 AM - 5:30 PM on all days school is in session.
