Responsibilities:
- Create and support a welcoming and inclusive culture
- Safeguard academic integrity of classroom in keeping with the Montessori pedagogy and AMS accreditation standards
- Responsible for the execution of the educational and administrative policies
- Ensure a complete, beautiful, and age-appropriate Montessori learning environment
- Embody the scientific pedagogy through regular observation, record keeping, reflection, and appropriate action for response to meet the needs of children in the class
- Partner with parents/guardians regularly to support their children’s progress
- Monitor the general safety of children
- Collaborate actively with colleagues
- Direct and develop assistants and student teachers
- Support the work of Seton Montessori Institute as either a supervising teacher, field visitor, teaching assistant, or faculty presenter
Minimum Requirements
- Montessori Early Childhood certification from an AMS or AMI MACTE-accredited program
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject
- Strong desire to work with children and make a difference
- Dedication to Montessori philosophy and pedagogy
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Ability to build strong and supportive relationships with parents/guardians and colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

- Physical dexterity and ability to lift children up to 40 pounds
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a Montessori setting
