Lead Children's House Guide

Avon Montessori Academy, located on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Lead Children's House Guide to join our amazing team of teachers and wonderful community for the 24-25 school year!   We have opened an additional Children's House classroom, and are looking for a strong Lead Guide to support the children and their families.  Avon Montessori is a growing private school of seven classrooms serving children from 18 months through sixth grade. Our mission is to cultivate and inspire each individual within our school community to excel as lifetime scholars, creative thinkers, and responsible citizens. We weave authentic Montessori philosophy with a warm and charming environment, placing emphasis on whole child development, peace education, and care of the Earth.

Position/Classroom Details:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
  
• Montessori Children's House classroom (ages 3-6)

Ideal Candidates:

• Have received their Montessori 3-6 Credential through a MACTE-accredited institution
• Have at least 2 years experience leading a Montessori classroom
• Are a responsible, dependable, capable, and flexible team player
• Enjoy working as part of a like-minded team, contributing their gifts toward the advancement of the whole
• Value working in partnership with parents
• Possess good communication skills, orally and written 
• Have a deep passion for working with young children and contributing to their growth and development
