Primary Classroom Assistant (position beginning August 2019)
Newton Montessori School is currently seeking a Primary (ages 3-6) Classroom Assistant Teacher for a full-time position beginning on 8/22/2019. Primary Classroom Assistant Teachers provides integral support to the Primary classroom teachers, and other areas of the school as needed (such as recess and lunch coverage), in a Montessori environment. Hours are from 7:30am through 3:30pm, M-F; attendance at special events and staff meetings outside of normal school hours may be required.
The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible, professional, and dependable; have strong multi-tasking and classroom management skills; and have the ability to collaborate with other educators in our community to create an environment where children learn, socialize, explore, and grow together.
- This is a full-time position for the 2019 2020 school year.
- Hours are M-F, 7:30am to 3:30pm, plus attendance at required staff meetings and occasional nights and weekends

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a school setting
- At least 3 professional references
- Bachelor's Degree or beyond in related field.
- EEC qualified or certified.
Preferred Additional Experience:
- Familiarity with Montessori environment
