Alegria Montessori School is looking for a lead Upper Elementary teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The Upper Elementary Teacher is responsible for managing a class of children between the ages of 9-12. Teachers must be able to relate well to children and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school’s educational philosophy.
The lead teacher is responsible for preparing the environment with appropriate materials and activities to meet the developmental needs and interests of the children. They should provide a positive and inclusive environment by promoting independence and self-led learning, and respect among students. Lead teacher is responsible for giving individual and group lessons to students, demonstrating proper use of Montessori materials and guiding students through their learning. Lead teacher is responsible for maintaining open and honest communication with administration, staff and parents by creating and fostering a collaborative partnership in the education of their children.

Qualifications: BA/BS required. Montessori credential for Elementary II level or self-directed intern. Spanish speakers welcome.
