Full-Time Lead Teacher

Lakewood Montessori School (lmschool.org) is a small, private, not-for-profit program. We are AMS-affiliated and have been serving the Lakewood and Park Cities area of Dallas, Texas for 25 years. Children 2½  to 6 years old benefit from this beautiful authentic environment, complete with materials as Dr. Montessori intended. We are seeking a full-time preschool classroom teacher to begin immediately.      

Qualifications

• AMS Montessori Credential in Early Childhood 2½ - 6 years old
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 3 years classroom experience

Skills and Abilities

• Interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues                                                                                     
• Passionate about the Montessori method and philosophy 
• Eager and self-motivated                                                                                     
• Have a strong work ethic and organizational skills                                          
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication abilities 

Responsibilities

• Guide a Montessori classroom with respectful positive conflict resolution   
• Track student progress and conduct parent/teacher conferences           
• Attend staff meetings and school events
