Elementary Teacher

Position Overview 

Elementary teachers provide quality instruction rooted in the Montessori philosophy and aligned with state and national standards. Elementary teachers use a variety of assessment strategies, including diagnostic, formative and summative, to inform instructional decisions and increase student self-management of learning.

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education (K-6)
• Have or agree to obtain an AMI, AMS or NCME certification

Education and Experience Preferences

• MA/MS in education
• Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching
• Demonstrated continued professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development
• Ability to acquire Crisis Prevention and Intervention certification
