Children's Tribe, located on a farm campus in Godfrey, IL, is looking for a Upper Elementary Guide to start Summer 2024 or July 29, 2024. Our ideal candidate will be seasoned within the upper elementary classroom environment. We are looking for someone to blend with our experienced faculty, implement and refine curriculum, and present farm opportunities in a way that is consistent with the Montessori theory. A candidate who is able to nurture and assess students' development in all areas of their social, emotional, cognitive, physical and moral development; as well as the ability to model integrity, curiosity and respect for the Montessori method. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are a must. We are looking for someone with at least three years experience in an elementary classroom.
This position is from August to mid May. Additional pay is available if you would want to teach over the summer. Our summer program is M-Th with a theme and shortened day. You recieve 40 hours of PTO your first year, an additional week your third year, and another week your fifth year. In addition, to your PTO, you have six scheduled weeks off woven throughout the academic year. Our staff has onsite training, daily prep time and monthly prep meetings. We also offer financial support for professional development.
