Country Day World School is seeking a dedicated Montessori Infant Lead Teacher to join our vibrant learning environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest students.

Country Day World School is an Infant-8th grade school located in Largo, Florida.  The school is distinguished by its beautiful 15 acre main campus; the innovative pedagogy that utilizes the Montessori method through grade 3 and transitions to a progressive, preparatory school model in 4-8; and the dedication to providing the highest quality education in the area.

Position: Montessori Infant Lead Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages exploration, independence, and self-discovery.
  • Implement Montessori principles and practices to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, lessons, and experiences that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Foster a sense of community and collaboration among children, parents, and fellow educators.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, interests, and individual needs, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Continuously seek professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in Montessori education.

Qualifications:

  • Montessori Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification
  • Previous experience working with infants/toddlers in a Montessori setting
  • Passion for and commitment to the Montessori philosophy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children
