Assistant Teacher and After Care Provider

The Primary Assistant Teacher (ages 3-5) will collaborate with the Head Teacher to implement the Montessori instructional program in accordance with Fraser Woods Montessori School's mission, goals, objectives, and philosophy of learning.

After-care teachers help facilitate nap time for three-year-old students and monitor the after-school program for kids of any age (up through 8th grade) until 5:30.

Responsibilities

• Strive to create an atmosphere of belonging so every community member feels accepted, appreciated, and valued.
• Work with the Head Teacher to create an inviting, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students. 
• Support the Head Teacher in implementing positive classroom management techniques that model appropriate communication skills and conflict-resolution strategies.

After-care

• Help facilitate transitions to and from nap time for three-year-old students.
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for students of any age (Toddler-8th grade) participating in the after-school program.

Hours for the above position are 9:30 to 5:30, all days school is in session. Half days are 9:30 to 11:30.
