International Montessori School is excited to recruit candidates for our new position of Early Years Program Coordinator to support our growing school. This leadership position is supported by the Director of Programs and the Head of School.

Our ideal candidate has been a master teacher in Montessori classrooms for children ages 18 months to 6 years old and is seeking to grow in a leadership and coaching position, to support other toddler and early childhood guides, and to facilitate authentic Montessori environments that nurture students, staff, and families. 

Our school enjoys a diverse, international staff who provide a language immersion Montessori education for our students. We have four early childhood classrooms providing an authentic Montessori education in Spanish, French or Mandarin Chinese in a 100% one-way immersion model in addition to one toddler classroom that is conducted in English. 

Your Background

  • 5+ years of successful classroom experience as a toddler and/or early childhood guide (ideally both)
  • 1+ year of experience in a supervisory or coaching role
  • Experience with or exposure to other languages and cultures and experience working with diverse groups of adults.
  • Montessori-certification from a MACTE-accredited program
  • Strong proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Chinese is preferred, but not required.

The Role

  • Supporting classrooms guides in their professional growth, including assisting in addressing areas of growth that may arise with their classroom
  • Facilitating regular planning and record keeping
  • Leading regular level meetings
  • Providing regular observations for staff and students
  • Coordinating student support for the 18 month to 6 year old age groups as part of our multi-tiered system of support
  • Reviewing all toddler and early childhood progress reports prior to release
  • Coordinating toddler and early childhood participation in school-wide events
  • Advocating for the toddler and early childhood level at the administrative level
