The Green Mountain Montessori School located in the beautiful State of Vermont. We are currently seeking an assistant Montessori-certified Primary Classroom Teacher (ages 3-6) for a full-time school year position beginning on 8/21/2024.
The assistant classroom teacher will assist in all aspects of classroom operation. The teacher will plan with the lead teacher and implement the Montessori curriculum for the children in the classroom, cooperating with teaching teams to review and revise program curriculum as necessary. The assistant teacher must be an excellent preparer of the environment, taking overall responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for children with the help of the lead teacher in the class. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and flexible; have strong communication skills; and have the ability to function in a cooperative team-teaching environment; and be able to collaborate with other educators in our community to create an environment where children play, socialize, explore, and grow together as global citizens.
Position Details • This is a full-time position for the 2023-2024 school year. • Hours are M-F, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, plus attendance at required staff meetings and parent meetings and school events • Salary is commensurate with experience. • Retirement 6%• 50/50 medical
