Montessori Haven is a nurturing and inclusive Montessori school dedicated to providing high-quality education rooted in Montessori philosophy. We are currently seeking a Certified Lead Teacher for our Primary classroom (ages 3-6) to join our dedicated team of educators. Our school emphasizes peace, diversity, and community, creating a supportive environment for both children and staff.
Responsibilities:
•Lead the Primary classroom, guiding children aged 3-6 through the Montessori curriculum with an emphasis on independence, creativity, and holistic development.
•Design and implement lesson plans that align with Montessori principles, fostering the intellectual, emotional, and social growth of each child.
•Observe, document, and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents during conferences and regular updates.
•Create a prepared learning environment that promotes exploration, respect, and self-directed learning.
•Manage classroom behavior by guiding children with positive discipline strategies that support self-regulation and respect.
•Communicate regularly and effectively with parents to build a partnership that enhances each child’s development.
•Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in ongoing professional development and school initiatives.
•Ensure classroom health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment.
Qualifications:
•AMS/AMI Montessori Certification for the Primary level (ages 3-6) required.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead teacher in a Montessori Primary environment.
•CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
•Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering relationships with children, parents, and staff.
•Deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy and a passion for early childhood education.
•Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for young children.
