We are seeking a passionate and innovative Part-Time Montessori STEM Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 School Year. The ideal candidate will integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into a Montessori environment, fostering a hands-on, inquiry-based learning experience. The teacher will work closely with students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while adhering to Montessori principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging STEM lessons aligned with Montessori methodologies.
- Facilitate hands-on, project-based learning experiences that encourage exploration and discovery.
- Guide students in using Montessori materials and technology to enhance STEM learning.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports self-directed learning.
- Assess student progress through observations, portfolios, and individualized feedback.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate STEM concepts across various subjects.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in a child-centered classroom.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Required) in Education, STEM-related field, or a Montessori certification (preferred).
- Experience teaching STEM subjects in a Montessori or hands-on learning environment.
- Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and materials.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to work part-time hours, with flexibility based on school needs.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with coding, robotics, or makerspace activities.
- Knowledge of child development and Montessori pedagogy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
