We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our team as a Montessori Assistant. As a crucial member of our educational community, you will work closely with the lead Montessori teacher to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for children.
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing the Montessori curriculum, fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Support individual and small group activities, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that aligns with Montessori principles.
- Observe and document children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
- Encourage positive social interactions and assist in resolving conflicts among children.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and execute developmentally appropriate activities.
- Foster a sense of respect and responsibility among the children, promoting a positive classroom culture.
- Provide assistance during snack time, outdoor play, and other daily routines.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your understanding of Montessori education.
- Uphold the values and philosophy of the Montessori approach in daily interactions with children, parents, and colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Montessori certification or coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for early childhood education.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Montessori philosophy and principles.
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
