Depending on experience and what you're looking for this position could be a co-lead position or assistant to the current Montessori lead teacher.
The Details: Co- Lead Opportunity or An Assistant
- Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
- Term: August 2025 – June 2026 (option to resign)

Essential Functions for Teaching: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops an open and productive relationship with the teaching team and takes advice and instruction to develop consistency in the environment
- Supports all learners in the community under the guidance of the Lead Teacher/ Co-lead
- Works directly with the Director on all aspects of TMS including Extended Care, Snacks, Outdoor Time, Enrichment, etc.
- Seeks out personal and professional growth opportunities
- All communication with parents/families of students should come from a Lead Teacher or TMS Administrator. Please direct all questions from parents to the Lead Teacher or Director and be sure to ALWAYS CC’ administration.
- Share all observations and concerns regarding children with the Lead Teacher in a timely fashion.
- Teachers are responsible for support of the classrooms and are flexible with daily schedule and functions
- Teachers are responsible for supporting lead teachers with chores, planning time, events and classroom management
- Materials in the classroom should be switched every 4-8 weeks or when boredom arises
Required Education and Working Experiences
- TMS requires all teachers to have a professional development introductory course in Montessori within 6-months of employment
- Early Childhood Education Degree
- PDIS Level 3 or higher
- Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler (EQIT) Training
Prefer Education and Working Experiences
- Montessori Credential from a MACTE-approved accredited training in the age group working with
- Any experience in education programs such as Forest schools, Reggio, Waldorf, Outdoor education, etc…
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Colorado State Teacher’s Certification
Benefits: TMS determines benefits for qualified full time employees on an annual basis. As a valued member of the TMS Team, Employee will be offered:
- Health insurance is available for qualified full-time employees (36 hours per week or more). TMS pays $100.00 per month towards school issued Health Insurance.
- Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance is available for qualified full-time employees (36 hours per week or more). TMS pays 100% towards school issued Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance if you sign up.
- 48 hours of PTO frontloaded
- Wellness Fridays
- Tuition discounts are provided to all employees whose children are enrolled at TMS during the period of the day in which the employee is on duty. This discount applies whether the employee is full time or part time, salaried or hourly. Tuition discounts are subject to change at any time and based on current enrollment.
- After 1 year of full time employment eligible for IRA at a 3% employer match- (Responsibility of the employee to pursue with agent)
- During the regular school year (Aug- May), full time employees are paid their normal rate of pay for 9 hours for all holidays (Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, MLK, Washington's Birthday, Juneteenth, and Memorial Day) school year closures and breaks, during the school year. Part time employees do not get paid during these breaks.
- Wages for seasonal breaks (fall, winter, and spring) are paid at the employee's normal rate of pay at 36 hours/week, unless otherwise discussed with the owner and director.
- Full time employees that re-sign with TMS for the following school year are granted 36 hrs/week at their hourly pay for the month of July. Teachers that have worked for TMS for 5 years or more will also receive July pay regardless of re-signing with TMS.
