We are seeking an Assistant Head of School to join our leadership team. This role requires a dedicated professional who is Montessori-certified, passionate about education, and ready to inspire our students, staff, and families. Position Summary

The Assistant Head of School will collaborate closely with the Head of School as well as others on the Administrative Team to support the mission, vision, and operational success of the Academy. This individual will play a key role in program oversight, staff leadership, and fostering a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Community Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and staff.
  • Participate in parent education programs and community outreach events.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for addressing concerns or feedback.
• Educational Leadership:
  • Ensure fidelity to Montessori principles and practices across all classrooms.
  • Support faculty in curriculum implementation and professional development.
  • Lead observations and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
• Operational Support:
  • Assist the Head of School in managing day-to-day school operations.
  • Contribute to enrollment efforts, which could include tours, interviews, and onboarding of new families.
  • Support compliance and policy adherence.
• Team Leadership: 
  • Inspire and guide the teaching team to maintain high standards of professionalism and care.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model to faculty and staff.
  • Step into the Head of School role when needed.

Qualifications

• Montessori certification (AMS/AMI) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Montessori teaching experience. Leadership experience preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
