Part-Time After School Teacher

We are looking for an after-school teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year to work in the afternoons at Lexington Montessori School. Children have fun outdoors and indoors at the end of their school day. Teachers guide children's independence and choice, provide a safe, caring environment and create/share activities. 

The hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays — 2:30–5:00 pm and Thursday 11:30 am–5:00 pm, with opportunities to work additional hours during, conference/vacations, substitute teaching, and summer programs.

Strong Candidates will have:

• A commitment to creating and sustaining an inclusive, equitable positive classroom environment where all students feel a sense of belonging.
• A collaborative approach; able to work well within a team.
• The ability to make informed and sound judgments regarding students’ well-being and safety.
• Creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness; physically able to participate in activities with students outdoors and indoors.
• Experience and/or understanding of Montessori philosophy and  Spanish language skills are a plus.
