Montessori Toddler Assistant Guide:

Description:

Montessori Discovery School is looking for a Montessori Toddler Assistant Guide for the Toddler class. We are looking for a person who enjoys working in a small school with a welcoming staff and engaged parents and students. Classic Montessori education, effective communication, and personal growth are important parts of our commitment to children and adults at MDS. A sense of humor is always a plus.

Located in beautiful southeastern Connecticut, MDS is a breath of fresh air from the busy city life. Our wetlands and fields provide outdoor explorations for our students as well as a home for our llamas and chickens. Children and staff learn to care for our environment and our animals while gaining independence through our Montessori curriculum. Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children
  • Associates/Bachelors degree perferred
  • Interest in learning animal care
  • Passion for working with children and families 
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a team, staff, and administration
  • Strong classroom management
  • Proficient in the use of technology
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
