About the Role:
Are you a passionate, student-centered educator with a strong foundation in Montessori principles? Do you believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Children’s House Lead Teacher (3-6 years old) and become a vital part of our mission to inspire a lifelong love for learning.
As a Children’s House Lead Teacher, you will:
- Create & Maintain an Authentic Montessori Classroom – Guide students using hands-on, individualized instruction tailored to their development.
- Support Every Learner – Observe and assess progress, fostering academic and personal growth.
- Cultivate a Respectful & Engaging Environment – Build an inclusive classroom where independence and collaboration thrive.
- Partner with Families – Maintain open communication and build strong home-school relationships.
- Collaborate with a Supportive Team – Work alongside assistant teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure student success.
- Grow as an Educator – Participate in professional development, school events, and Montessori training.
- Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and ongoing Montessori training
- Ensure adherence to Montessori principles while aligning with state educational standards
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- AMS or AMI Montessori Certification in Children’s House (3-6).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of Montessori teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, student-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- North Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience in a public or charter Montessori school.
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and differentiated instruction.
