Paché Montessori in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for our vibrant Spanish immersion toddler classroom.

Our spacious 25,000-square-foot facility features a rooftop playground, indoor climbing wall, and outdoor terrace, designed to inspire exploration, independence, and joy in learning.

Role Overview:

As the Lead Teacher, you'll provide thoughtful leadership in a toddler classroom (ages 2–3), integrating Montessori philosophy with immersive Spanish language instruction. You will design and maintain a carefully prepared environment that supports each child's developmental needs, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepared Environment: Establish and maintain a Montessori environment tailored to toddlers' needs, emphasizing order, beauty, and accessibility.

  • Spanish Immersion Instruction: Communicate consistently in Spanish, embedding language naturally into daily routines, storytelling, songs, and classroom activities.

  • Child-Centered Guidance: Observe each child’s developmental progress, offering individualized lessons and gentle guidance aligned with Montessori principles.

  • Daily Care & Independence: Oversee routines such as snack, lunch, toileting/diapering, and rest, leveraging these moments to enhance language skills and self-sufficiency.

  • Family Partnerships: Foster clear, respectful, and proactive communication with families about their child's daily experiences, developmental progress, and milestones.

  • Team Collaboration: Mentor and collaborate effectively with assistant teachers to ensure consistency and quality in Montessori and Spanish immersion practices.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Fluency in Spanish with strong proficiency in English.

  • Montessori credential (AMI, AMS, or MACTE) for Toddler/Assistants to Infancy (0–3 years).
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 1 year of toddler classroom experience.

  • Deep understanding of, or strong enthusiasm for, Montessori educational philosophy.

  • Patient, warm, and respectful demeanor toward young children.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $60,000–$84,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
