Co-Lead for Lower elementary program at CEntral Montessori School

Central Montessori School of Virginia | Richmond, VA, United States

Posted Date 3/17/2025
Description

Central Montessori School of Virginia opened its doors to four families in 2007. Our program has grown over the past 18 years, and today, we serve around 150 students ranging in age from 3 months to 14 years in our school community.

Our urban campus is in the historic and beautiful neighborhood of Church Hill in Richmond, VA. We are within walking distance of the James River, beautiful parks, local restaurants, and state government and university centers.

Central values academic and social/emotional competency skills; our program responds to and nurtures students' needs for leadership, movement, creativity, problem-solving, responsibility, independence, and autonomy.

We seek an individual to join our Lower Elementary program as a co-lead. Our model is designed for working parents and offers a full-day, year-round program. Lead educators are offered options for 10 month and 12 month contracts.

To continue our commitment to socioeconomic diversity, about 20-30% of our tuition revenue goes towards scholarships for students in our elementary and older programs who otherwise would not be able to afford a Montessori education.

Our Montessori program philosophy is different from many other models in the private and public sectors. Our commitment to respect and care for our educators and support staff is shown in the excellent care that our students receive, and our parents are very supportive of our hard-working educators.
