Early Childhood Head Teacher (3-6 years)

Ivy League Montessori School is expanding with a new pre-primary program in Chicago Ridge, and we are seeking an energetic, Montessori-certified teacher to join our team! 

Our mission is to provide a high-quality educational program for children ages 3-6, fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning. We prepare an environment rich in hands-on learning materials that inspire discovery and growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver an authentic Montessori program for ages 3-5
• Observe, guide, and supervise children in a prepared classroom environment
• Encourage imagination, creativity, and student independence
• Communicate with parents about student progress, challenges, and successes
• Engage with prospective families and support enrollment efforts
• Participate in school activities and field trips

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Montessori Certification (AMS, AMI, or MACTE accredited training)
• Experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a Montessori school
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must meet Illinois state requirements for education and licensing
