Joliet Montessori School stands as an iconic member of our Will County community that has supported our families and students through 60 years of societal highs and lows. From that basis of strength, we’re conducting a search for the newest members of our faculty for an upper elementary teacher. Our lovely upper elementary guide is moving on to retirement once this school year concludes. This new lead will begin in the 2026-27 school year.
The ideal candidate will:
Be passionately dedicated to Montessori philosophy
Possess a valid Montessori credential (AMI or AMS) for Upper Elementary coupled with a Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrate experience as a lead teacher
Desire to be part of a strong, passionate, and fun team of colleagues and professionals
Have strong organizational skills
Communicate in a professional manner with parents, staff and students
Show confidence and consistency in classroom management style
Be diligent in planning lessons and keeping accurate student records using Transparent Classroom
Take pride in creating and sustaining the highest-quality educational environment
