Montessori Teacher (Primary, Ages 2.5–6)

RiverRun Montessori is a nurturing and independent Montessori school serving children ages 3–12. We are currently seeking a Montessori-certified Lead Teacher for our Primary classroom (ages 2.5–6). Candidate can be pursing certification, as a certified teacher will be an associate teacher in the classroom.

Position Highlights:
- Full-time position; school day runs from 8:35 AM to 3:00 PM
- We have two weeks off over winter holiday, one week off in February, six days off in April and two months off in the Summer months
- We operate on a typical local school calendar
- Children begin the day with an uninterrupted work period, followed by recess, lunch, rest/nap, or a second work period based on their schedule
- Serve as the Primary Lead Teacher for children ages 2.5–6 using authentic Montessori methods
- Provide individualized instruction while supporting the development of the whole child along side a Montessori certified associate teacher
- Collaborate with fellow educators, school leadership, and families to foster a supportive learning community
Qualifications:
- Montessori Primary Lead Teacher Certification or in pursuit of one
- Passion for early childhood education and the Montessori philosophy
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and child-centered teaching practices
