About us: We are a growing montessori on the Eastide located in Redmond, Washington. Our brand new facility is currently under construction and will be completed in June 2025!  We are passionate about early childhood development and through AMS we work to create a place for teachers, students and their families to grow, learn and thrive. Position Summary

We are seeking a 3-6 Lead Teacher to join us! As a Lead Teacher you set the tone for the classroom. You will have strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of classroom managment. You wil collaborate with with other lead and assistant teachers, center management, and other positions to provide families and children with an exemplary experience. You will ensure the learning program meets all standards for whole child development, health and safety, and family engagement. Supervises the day-to-day tasks of the Assistant Teacher. Reports to the Center Director.

Essential Functions: Makes decisions and integrates plans aligned with the center’s mission. Is accountable and responsible for outcomes as a result of decisions and makes adjustments. 

 

  • Fostering an individualized, responsive montessori environment 
  • Maintain a safe, prepared environment 
  • Partner with families to meet the needs of each child
  • Collaborate and engage with steakholders at all times
  • Develpment of high-quality lessons to nurture all students

About you:

Passionate about all things montessori! You will be professional, punctual, self-aware and collaborative. You will be experienced and excited to build something new and bring the highest standards to early childhood! You will appreciate that the program serves infants through six! You will be ready to share your talents to build a strong community! Most importantly you will LOVE being a Montessori Teacher and will be dedicated and committed to the outcomes of the classroom.

Requirements:

  • AMS or AMI diploma holder in ages 3-6
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • 3+ years as Lead Teacher of similar age group
  • Strong letters of recommendation 
  • Start date to be discussed, summer/fall 2025
  • Committed to academic year employment, plus two weeks in summer
