Green Friends Montessori School is a nature-based Montessori school that supports the holistic development of each child. We are currently seeking a Lower Elementary or Primary Guide that is excited to share in this process with us. The ideal candidate would work collaboratively with the staff, and be willing to form a partnership with parents. The guide will share their Montessori knowledge, creativity, inspiration and passion for learning with the students.
Requirements include:
- The ability and desire to teach consistent with Montessori educational practices for the program level,
- A love for and deep commitment to working with children in these formative years of their educational journey,
- The ability to be collaborative and flexible and encourage innovation and excellence in teaching the Montessori pedagogy,
- The ability to prepare and maintain an orderly, attractive and clean environment,
- The desire to complete regular student observations and maintain throrough records for each student,
- The willingness to plan appropriate and exciting field trips and outings for the students,
- The dedication to communicate with parents on a regular basis,
- The aim to create and be a part of a peaceful educational community that promotes care, responsibility and leadership while awakening the internal drive for exploration within the students.
