Position Summary
Bambini Village Montessori is a well-established school located in Murfreesboro, TN. We have one Toddler Classroom (18mos-3) and two Primary Classrooms (3-6). The Director of Bambini Village is responsible for the overall leadership, administration,
and day-to-day operations of the school. This individual will uphold the Montessori
philosophy, ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards, manage staff,
and create a nurturing environment for students, families, and educators. The Director also
plays a key role in community engagement, leading school-wide events and outreach
initiatives that support a vibrant, connected school culture.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration
• Provide strategic direction and vision in alignment with Montessori principles and
the school’s mission.
• Oversee the daily operations of the school, including staffing, scheduling,
budgeting, and curriculum implementation.
• Ensure compliance with state and local licensing regulations, health and safety
standards, and educational guidelines.
• Manage school accreditation and reporting requirements.
Staff Management
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture rooted in Montessori values.
• Facilitate ongoing professional development and performance evaluations.
• Act as a mentor and coach to support teachers in implementing Montessori
methodology effectively.
Parent, Community & Public Relations
• Build strong, positive relationships with families and the broader community.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee community events, parent education nights, open
houses, and school celebrations.
• Represent the school at local events and in communications with external
organizations.
• Enhance the school’s visibility and reputation through outreach, marketing, and
engagement initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with families through newsletters, meetings, and digital
platforms.
Curriculum & Student Experience
• Ensure fidelity to Montessori pedagogy and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Support classroom observations and curriculum development.
• Collaborate with lead guides to ensure individualized student learning and
assessment.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
Financial Management
• Develop and manage the annual budget in coordination with the owners.
• In charge of annual enrollment and tuition trends; oversee billing and setting
classroom budgets
• Participate in fundraising, grant writing, and financial planning activities as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
(Master’s preferred).
• Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited training) strongly
preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a Montessori or early childhood
education setting.
• Proven experience in event planning and community engagement is highly
desirable.
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and best practices in school
management.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead with empathy, integrity, and a child-centered mindset.
• Familiarity with licensing and accreditation standards.
Working Conditions
• Full-time position with occasional evening/weekend events for school and
community functions.
• Work is performed in a school environment with frequent interaction with children,
parents, and staff.
