Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves teaching elementary education, managing classroom dynamics, and implementing effective behavior management strategies to support the diverse needs of our students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach physical education classes, promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Provide childcare support, ensuring the well-being of students during school hours.
- Conduct early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive educational atmosphere that meets the needs of all learners.
- Utilize Montessori methods and other educational frameworks to enhance student learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with students in a classroom or daycare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of early intervention practices for children with diverse learning needs. .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds, along with a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Montessori Teacher Credential strongly desired (or the ability to secure the credential within 18 months of hire).
- Experience teaching in a private Christian environment is preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
