We are looking for a passionate and patient Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team and support the growth and development of children ages 2 years to 3 years.
Position Overview:
The Toddler Teacher Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers. You will assist in implementing the Montessori philosophy, support daily classroom activities, and ensure the well-being of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in creating and maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support toddlers with daily routines, including snack time, diapering, toileting, and transitions between activities.
- Engage with children in Montessori-based activities, fostering independence, exploration, and social development.
- Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with the Lead Teacher and parents as needed.
- Maintain open communication with parents, updating them on their child's progress and daily activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Assist in preparing Montessori materials and classroom setup.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience working with toddlers or in a Montessori setting (preferred).
- Montessori Assistant certification or willingness to obtain training (preferred).
- A passion for early childhood education and a deep respect for the Montessori philosophy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Lead Teacher.
