At Montessori School of McLean, we understand that technology is an important part of our world, and if we are to prepare our students for life, we need to teach technology in a responsible manner that also adheres to the Montessori philosophy. Our Information Sciences Lab holds our extensive library collection, as well as laptops and other technology equipment. Students learn research skills using both books and the internet, and learn relevant practical skills using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and they enjoy checking out books from the library collection.
We are seeking an Information Sciences teacher for students Kindergarten through Upper Elementary. The ideal candidate has experience with teaching children aged 5-12 years, has the knowledge and ability to teach Information Sciences skills, has knowledge of or experience with Montessori, holds a degree related to teaching or technology, can support teachers with technology needs, and most importantly, is warm and caring and works well with children and colleagues. Salary commensurate with education level and years of experience.
