Chiaravalle Montessori is looking for energetic, enthusiastic and motivated educators to make a commitment to our school, kids and community. Our Toddler program is steadily growing, so we are seeking a dedicated, Montessori trained Head Teacher to join our seasoned our team. The classroom position will be open for the 2024-2025 school year; HOWEVER, we are hiring for this person now to provide for additional time to train and acclimate to our community. This is a part time position with scheduled work days of Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 12pm.
THE POSITION
The Infant Toddler Head Teacher will utilize best practices in the classroom based on current research in child development and education which are appropriate to the learning objectives for Infant Toddler (ages 16 - 24 months). The person in this position will work to provide individualized and differentiated learning plans in order to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual growth of each child. You will support students by implementing strategies and accommodations geared towards the individual child. The Head Teacher provides students with timely, clear and constructive feedback. You will be responsible for working and communicating with other teachers, Learning Resources, Administrators and parents in an effort to provide the best learning environment and support for each student's individual progress. The Head Teacher is responsible for assisting in the interviewing process, training, supervising and evaluation of assistant teachers, interns and substitute teachers working in their classroom.

Requirements
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field AND Infant & Toddler Montessori Certification. You must have a minimum of 2 - 5 years of relevant teaching experience in a school setting, preferrably in a Lead Teacher role and a Montessori setting. Excellent observation, interpersonal, active listening, verbal and written communication, organizational, and prioritization skills are essential. This person must be adaptable to various situations, communication and social styles. Patience, the ability to stay calm and maintain respectful and peaceful communication with children and adults is also essential.
